Vendor Profile - Cathy & Sugar

While Cathy Cahill spends her time making illustrations, fabric animals, pillows, pocket mirrors, pendants and greeting cards featuring her line of whimsical characters, her dog Sugar snoozes away. Sugar is more of a silent partner.

Cathy is inspired by color, pattern, design, outsider art, vintage fabrics and old children’s books. Her favorite materials to work with include bright, fun fabrics and doodling with her favorite black marker.

Cathy has been a SoWa Holiday Market Vendor since 2007. “SoWa is great because it is filled with very talented people with amazing creative energy. I love to see what all the artists create - pottery, jewelry, fiber, edibles - so much great stuff! It's hard not spend all you make at SoWa.  It's a great show and I enjoy being a part of it. And I love the Christmas music!”

Cathy’s funky and fun illustrations are perfect for decorating a kid’s room or a nursery. She also offers a personalization service for her prints to make the artwork a little extra special. This holiday season, be sure to pick up one of Cathy’s fabric ornaments featuring owls & other birds in bright, cheerful fabrics.
